New Home!

Back around the end of March, we were adopted by a beagle. He was a sweet, shy fellow and took quite a liking to our dogs, especially Ruby. While it may seem like going from 3 to 4 dogs is no big deal, trust me IT IS! So, we set about looking for a permanent home for Jake. (We tried other names, such as Sparky, but Jake seemed to fit best.)

Our new friends, the Bull's, heard about Jake from a summer intern working for one of our neighbors. They agreed to adopt Jake after the end of the school year, if we could just keep him until then. No problem. Jake was very happy here, able to take his independent walk-abouts by slipping under the fence and romping with his good friends Ruby and Annie.

With the end of June at hand, we made plans to deliver Jake to the Bull's house on Friday the 25th of June. The kids had NO idea that they were getting a dog and were apparently very surprised and pleased to have their new friend, Jake, in the house.

Our dogs seemed to miss Jake for a couple of days---they would walk through the house looking when you asked "Where's Jake?" However, things are starting to get back to normal, with a little less barking and rushing out of the house to chase cars along the fence line.
