Backyard Ballistics
This Spud Gun is powered by hairspray. It was my first foray into the Backyard Ballistics realm and is great fun. A couple of seconds of spray into the breech, close the end cap and twist the igniter. Kaa-Boom! Very rewarding---as long as you do not have any close by neighbors.

This Spud Gun version is powered by compressed air. The connector on one of the end caps can connect directly to my pressure-regulated compressor tank. Once the accumulator tank is fully pressurized the ball valve handle is rotated to fire the gun. The repeatability of this gun is amazing. It doesn't make as nice a noise as the hairspray-powered version but it is much easier to operate.
