3rd Annual July 4th Party (2007)
Party Scenes
We started out inside, when the food started coming
out.
The chief cook, Liz, in the kitchen preparing one of
many delicious meals during the week-long festivities.
Curious onlookers watch while various objects were hurled
through the air onto the hillside.
Patti and Sherman enjoy a quiet moment in the side yard.
I would like to personally thank Mike Brooke for assisting
with the emptying of the Heineken keg. When all was said and done, there
was only about a gallon left. Good work all!
Jack and Evelyn relaxing in the yard. No doubt amazed
at the behavior of the adults surrounding them!
Zoe yelling encouragement to spud shooters. If you look
on the table behind her, you will see the party favor box. Great fun.
Mike Roggio was also one of the many folks who assisted
with the draining of the keg. Lee seems amazed that he can even hold onto
the cup!
Folks relaxing on the front porch and waiting for a
vehicle to drive by. Really, it does happen!
George seems at one with the front-porch swing. A quiet
place away from the ballistic activities on the side of the house.
He is your author toiling away at the trusty gas grill.
I love my grill and she held up her end of the bargain this week. I truly
think that the grill never cooled off!
Don't think that a little darkness is going to stand
in the way of some seared flesh! With my trusty (nerd) head lamp I continued
to flip burgers well into the night.
A shot of the west side festivities. An old well is
visible in the foreground, which was drafted into service as a table.
Another view of the creek from the front porch.
