Advanced Provider BTLS Class

May 1&2, 2004

Fairmont State University

Hunt-Haught Hall

We had one of our ABC classes this spring at Fairmont State University. On Saturday and Sunday, May 1 and 2, we participated in the Advanced Provider Basic Trauma Life Support class. This is a tough class, were the instructors really expect you to display your best skills and to get on the ground and tough the patients.

If you ever get a chance to take the BTLS class, do. It is time well spent and helps one to discover what are the truly life-saving skills one needs to work effectively on the street.

Sorry Becca. I really do not try to get pictures of you eating food...

"Come over hear and say that..."

Matt (aka, The Big Fella) paying close attention in class.

Notice the modified technique for bag-valve mask that Darrin is using during his work with the dummy. (No, the on eon the table.)

Charlotte and Kasha get their chance at the breathing heads.

Charlotte is whispering instructions to her patient.

GOOD LORD! Don't EVER volunteer to be a victim, er patient, for a BTLS class.

There is not much left at this point, but Tracey and Bob dod put on a good feed for us in the morning.

The brain trust taking a break...

Do not let anyone tell you the BTLS for Advanced Providers is an easy course.
