This is a shot of the new fruit trees from the roof in
late May. You can see that there has been some growth since I panted them.
There is also a lot of grass within the wire fences/ I try to keep this
down as best I can.

Here is another view from the roof in late may. This time
it is a shot of the garden area. There are hints of green stuff poking
through the ground.

Fast forward to June 15th: The first corn that was planted
the first week of May is over a foot tall! The second crop, planted 3
weeks later is also above ground now.
|
Here's a shot of the 2 corn crops and the half-runner
beans in the background.

Even though it might look like a giant spider web, this
is the mesh that we hope the pole beans will grow on. We shall see how
that works out.
|
Here is a closeup of the half-runner beans and the climbing
strings. I have been battling the potato beetle but you can see the beans
look good so far.

We planted a bunch of tomatoes: beefsteak, cherries and
zerbras. they are doing pretty well as of the middle of June. They had
a slow start but now some have flowers on them.
|
Here are our peas, growing up on the chicken wire mesh.
You can also see the cukes in the middle and some of the pepper plants.
They have had the slowest start.
